1. From Rika to the Moon

1. From Rika to the Moon

What a journey this was. What a journey this is. What a journey this will be. I am sitting at a table in my city of origin, which is a little different to the village I grew up in. And I look back at my life so far. I must say that I am vaguely impressed with myself. Usually, I beat myself up about things, which means my mindset towards myself can be destructive. But I am more content right now. I started to scramble more. Which is great for a former chronic overthinker. I make more of an effort with myself and I work smarter. As I again can see, the difficult times come with positives too. If one learns that is. And last year was very difficult.

I think I am not near a peak, but what is coming out of a challenging last year is already pretty good. I have finally taken the leap of faith to start my brand. And while it’s in some way mine, it’s about so much more than an individual. I wish for it to be a catalyst for change in the life of women by building bridges between us. I want it to be a vehicle not only to ask big questions but also to aid solutions. And I want to add some color to places that otherwise are too linear, black, and white to bear the emotions that color can achieve.

This brand is inspired by love, the antidote to fear. And it’s about handling my fears a whole lot better, because life in my comfort zone is just too base color for me. Bring it on! Where have you pushed your comfort zone today?!
